The EGG HARBOR YACHT CLUB has had a long and rich history in Door County being led by a long list of progressive and dedicated Commodores who have guided the Club over the past 6 decades. JOHN TORINUS was the Club’s first Commodore serving from the Club’s inception in 1963 until his death in 1985. MIKE LINDEMAN took over and served during 1986 and 1987.
Similarly, future Commodores usually took over in the fall of the year, preceding the 2 full seasons they served as Commodore. Thus, the 2 full seasons are listed as their term of office. There were several exceptions when Commodores served extended terms. RICH DIRKS served 2005, 2006, and 2007. TOM KNAB served 3 seasons as well from 1997 to 1999. BILL WARD served 4 seasons, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. JIM RAPP served 5 seasons from 2012 through 2016. Current Commodore, KEN ULRICH, has served 8 seasons beginning in 2017.
PAULINE McALLISTER served only one season after experiencing health concerns.
